| Welcome to the Laconia Housing Authority web site!
We have created this web site for our tenants, their families, prospective tenants, and the greater community which supports us in so many ways. Our mission is longer than many but it reflects the depth and breadth of our work. We have been part of the fabric of Laconia since 1966. We have changed much in those years. Some of the changes reflect the winds of change that blow back and forth across our country. In more recent years, we have tried to become a force for change on behalf of our clients and the city of which we are a proud part. As budgets tighten and our population ages, we have sought ways to improve our services and our efficiency in delivering them. We have developed a ground breaking program to provide health services through our agency. We create housing with private developers We are working on a revitalization project in a former factory neighborhood called Normandin Square. This project has caught the imagination of the whole city. This project bring housing, medical offices, childcare and a riverside park to a neighborhood slowly decaying after one industrial-age tenant after another closed its doors.
We will strive to bring back hope and property values to this area. By partnering with the private sector, we will bring economic activity along with the housing. I hope you learn from this site.
