Does Laconia Housing Authority have emergency housing?
Laconia Housing Authority does not have emergency housing. There are waiting lists for all LHA properties/programs.

Where can I obtain an application for housing?
Please visit any of the Property pages for an application that you can print and fill out to submit to LHA.
Note: From time to time LHA has to close waiting lists due to the number of applicants on the list. If an application is received for a waiting list that is closed your application will be returned to you notifying you that the list is closed. Please view the Waiting Lists page to make sure a Waiting List is open before submitting an application.
How do I find out if the Waiting List is open for a property/program?

Are there specific eligibility qualifications for each property?
Household composition:
Blueberry Place – Low-income families (2 & 3 bedroom units)
Orchard Hill II – Low-income families (1 & 2 bedroom units)
Northfield – Elderly (62 or over) or disabled (1 bedroom units)
Sunrise Towers – Elderly (62 or over) or disabled (1 & 2 bedroom, and studio units)
Tavern – Low-income (studio and 1 bedroom units)
Income: Varies by property/program and County. Please contact LHA.
Can I call the LHA office to see where I am on the Waiting List?
As your name nears the top of a Waiting List you will be notified in writing, by mail. It is the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that LHA has current address information at all times. If a letter sent to the address on file is returned as undeliverable, your name will be removed from the Waiting List.
What is the Laconia Housing Smoke-Free Policy?
Smoking is not allowed inside or outside the buildings on any LHA property. Click for our Smoke-Free Policy. It is the policy of LHA to maintain a 100% smoke-free environment on all LHA owned/managed properties. Promoting a safe & healthy environment for our tenants, employees, volunteers, and visitors is essential.

Does LHA meet with people on a walk-in basis or by appointment?
Are Pets allowed at your properties?
One pet is allowed at some of the properties; a small dog (not to exceed 20 lbs) or a cat allowed at Sunrise Towers, Orchard Hill II and Northfield Village.
NO PETS allowed at Blueberry Place, Tavern/Stafford House or Normandin Square.
