Formally the Tavern Hotel, the Tavern Inn is located in downtown Laconia, New Hampshire, across the street from the Post Office and the Library.

 

Today, the former hotel has 50 apartments; studio and one bedroom. Heat, hot water, and electricity are included in the rent.

 

Laconia Housing Authority administrative building and Health First medical offices are located right next store for easy access to medical needs and tenants’ concerns. Banks, churches, restaurants, drug stores, supermarkets, libraries, Veterans Park, the former railway station, Main Street stores, the Community Actions Program Senior Center and antique centers are all within walking distance.

 

The Supportive Services Department makes services available for residents that would benefit from assistance with meals, housekeeping, laundry, personal care, and nursing services. The Social Service Education Coordinator keeps residents abreast of programs and special events.
