IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL LACONIA HOUSING RESIDENTS
Laconia Housing is committed to providing quality housing to its residents. We feel it is important to provide guidance to you, our tenants, regarding the Coronavirus or Covid-19.
It is important to note that at this time we have no knowledge of any resident of Laconia Housing diagnosed with the Coronavirus. We are simply providing this information to help ensure the safety of all.
You will find posted in the common areas at each property information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the symptoms of the Coronavirus and measure(s) you can take to minimize your risk of contracting the virus and other respiratory illnesses. If you believe you are experiencing symptoms of the Coronavirus, please take the following precautions to ensure the safety of all.
Please contact the Support Services Department of Laconia Housing at 524- 2112 and inform them of your health concerns.
Remain in your apartment. Do not travel to the mailboxes, community rooms, laundry rooms, dining rooms, etc. We will assist you with a plan to help meet your needs.
Contact your primary care physician by telephone. DO NOT travel to the doctor’s office or emergency room without first seeking guidance from your doctor. He/She will direct you to appropriate care. If you need assistance contacting your physician, our support staff is available to help.
If you need to leave your apartment and are feeling ill, DO NOT leave your apartment without a mask on. We have cloth masks made by community members that we can provide you with.

Individuals can take the following steps to help prevent the spread of respiratory infections including COVID-19 in their communities:
If you are ill, stay home from until you have been fever free for at least 24 hours without taking any fever reducing medication and you feel better;
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue;
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth;
Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds, especially after coughing or sneezing,
or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available;
Avoid close contact with people who are sick;
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects; and
Get the annual influenza vaccine. It is not too late to protect yourself from the flu.

You may notice our custodial staff taking extra measures to disinfect high traffic areas and common area surfaces that many individuals touch on a daily basis. We will be concentrating our cleaning in that manner until further notice.
